Weekend Away

I took the kids out of school for a day so we could go to my nieces baptism. We have so much fun at my sister's place. They have a wonderful piece of property outside the town they live in. The kids spent the day there playing. It was a wonderful baptism (no, those three are not getting baptized!). My mom flew out and so we got to see her as well. It was nice to be with family. After the baptism we went back out to the property for a hot dog roast.

Come to the Elementary School

Justin and Dallin were asked to help out for Literacy Night at the elementary school. They were such good sports about the whole thing. They wore those hot costumes for two hours and they were so sweet with the kids that came up to see them.

MARCHING SEASON
What an experience this has been not only for Justin but for us as parents. He has really enjoyed marching and how the whole band comes together to perform a really incredible show. As a family we enjoy attending games and competitions to see what they can do. Justin said he will be sad when the season is over. Justin plays the Baritone for marching season.

This is another Dallin post. There was a 50's celebration at school and Dallin took it and ran with it. He decided that he needed to dye his hair black. He has a leather jacket from his Grandpa Frank and he really brought the 50's back. My sister colored his hair and Kelsey helped him slick it back. When he came down stairs the next morning, he scared me and I screamed. I wasn't sure who he was. I still have to do a double take everytime I see him, I am not quite sure who I am looking at. He is such a funny boy....

Well it is that time of year. Football.... Dallin is playing some position on the line. He knocks people over is all I know. He made first string on offense I think. Justin laughed at how little I know about the game. I know when my son is on the field and that is good enough for me. Needless to say, he is loving it and that makes me happy for him. Now as long as he doesn't hurt himself we are all good!

This is our "First Day of School" picture. It is getting more difficult to get a picture of everyone on their first day of school. They all start school at different times. I have 2 at the High School, 1 in Jr High and 1 at the Elementary. Can you tell that some of us are more excited to start school than the other? It was a great day all in all and we are glad to be back in school.

We just got back from taking Little Bit to the ER. Dawson and Dallin were "playing" and Dawson tripped backward and hit his head on the corner of the wall. It took just 3 staples to fix him up. No big deal! His comment to the Doctor, "now I know what a piece of paper feels like!"

Kelsey thought it was really cool. The Doctor even took the time to show Kelsey how to staple and told her when they would use the dermabond versus staples and when to use stitches. Dawson did really well and he is now ready to go to sleep. Head injuries really make you sleepy.

I start the blog and then do nothing with it! It is the final count down to school starting. We are all going back to school. Well, except for Big T. I start at the Jr College, and K & J will be at the High School and D in Jr High and little D in Elementary. It is going to be an exciting year. J is really liking Marching Band. K will be involved with Choir, D is going to play Football, and little D will play Basketball. It is going to be busy. Nothing new there!!! That's all I have, I need to let K take over and make this happen. She is our photographer. I told her that my friends just read and practiced and that is how she will become better, as well as a better camera! Soon.....
